This week Elijah Craig is joined by Jose Cuervo, Johnny Walker and John Jameson
Elijah: A lot of money has been spent on internationals has been spent this season. I thought we could discuss how things have gone.
Jose: Why am I here with two Europeans? Most of the talent is from Latin-America and Asia.
Elijah: You're here for your expertise and you are all here because you're my friends.
Elijah: We've had 3 players getting a bonus of $20 million or more. Was the money well spent?
John: I would never pay a first baseman that kind of money. The other two are pitchers and I can see paying those bonuses.
Johnny: The first baseman,Vic Almadova, is much younger than the pitchers-18. He projects as one of the top power hitters the league will ever have. He may have to be moved to an American league team as a DH. If he's moved I would expect jc44 will get a top of the rotation starter and a starting shortstop.
Jose: Vegas paid the most and got the most. Giancarlo Colome signed and went straight to the majors. If you ignore his first two starts his ERA is under 3.00.
John: You just got to love thuggis being aggressive in his first year in this leave. He signed Jimmie Urbina and has already promoted him to 3A.
Elijah: 6 other guys got more than 9 million. Who do you like.
John: I like what mike1184 did with his money. Eswalin Duran is a shortstop that is going to wear out pitchers. He's a bit injury prone but his ceiling is so high you have to like this contract.
Jose: I think Alfredo Vargas should have held out until he got to 20 million. Louisville Duoz got a great player. They have Al Strange for the next 3 years in right field. When the time comes for free agency Vargas should be ready for the majors. The perfect prospect for this position.
Johnny: The guy I like is Fernando Bonilla, signed by kblack2778. This is guy who should have received 10 million or more. kblack2778 signed 11 international. The two million he saved on Bonilla got him Don Yoshii, a centerfielder who will kill right handed pitching.
Jose: Another steal was made by the Shamrocks. they got Juan Ordaz for under a million.
Elijah: We all know that a lot of things can happen to these young fellows. in a few years we will see if any of you knew what you were talking about. Good night.
