Elijah: It's been awhile since we discussed the international signings. So let's discuss signings since season 49 through the season 52.

John: I think the most surprising thing to me is that the top money is going to position players not pitchers.

Jose: If you're a shortstop you go straight to the bank. 8 guys scouted at shortstop got over 20 million .

Johnny: The highest amount paid a pitcher is 19.0 mil for Adys Alberro and Peter Donald.

Elijah: Anything else you've noticed about the international signings?

John:  Only one corner outfielder, Alex Fernandez, was signed to big money in the last 5 years. So this season will probably have 3 or 4.

Elijah: Who are the big spenders?

Jose: Las Vegas, Seattle and Ottawa

Elijah: So you think that the money is going to be spent on shortstops and corner outfielders and a little on pitching this year.
