Elijah: I thought we would compare the last few drafts, fellas. You guys only need to discuss the first round picks since I didn't warn you about the topic.
George: I think Angelys Alvarez is the best player drafted in the last 4 or 5 years.
Johnny: Yes season 52 draft was much deeper than the other recent drafts, although the season 48 was almost that deep.
Jack: Yes good players through pick 32 and Chappy24 got a stud at 36 with Trent Palmer.
George: Palmer wasn't the only sleeper. thuggis got a good sleeper this season with the 42nd pick he took Brian Fassero .
Elijah: Well fellas rank the draft 1 through 5 for the last five years.
Jack: I'd say 51,49,48,52,50
George: 51 had a really great top ten but the next ten lacked quality. I'd say 48,52,49,50 and 51.
Johnny: Do you guys ever agree on anything? I like this year's draft but I left my crystal ball at the last bar. 5 of the top 6 picks in season 50 are in the majors. Season 49 only has 7 total picks in the majors so far. Season 48 was along time ago by baseball standards about half that draft is in the majors. I will go 50,48,51,49 and season 52 is too early to call.
Elijah: Is anybody up for best player by position in the last 5 drafts?
George: Sure I'll do it.
Jack: Only because you like people hating you.
George: Yes, there will be a few upset managers but I think when they see my list they will know these are pretty much early picks from the last 5 drafts. 4,189 have been drafted in the last 5 drafts. How is anyone going to know the best from that big a field.
